The U.S. Government was today urged by the American Association for the United Nations to revise its immigration laws temporarily to allow the admission of “several hundred thousands” of displaced persons over and above the quota.
The organization also urged the elimination of red tape surrounding the quota system, and that the U.S. “make adequate financial contribution” to the $160,000,000 budget of the United Nations International Refugee Organization.
