The American Association of English-Jewish Newspapers has presented to Philip Slomovitz, editor and publisher of the Jewish News of Detroit, a bronze plaque in recognition of his leading role in organization of the association and his services as its president over the first ten years of its existence.
Mr. Slomovitz retired as president of the Association last May. The presentation was made by Fred K. Schochet, of Miami, president of the group; Abraham Slabct, of New Orleans, and Ben Neustadt, of Columbus, at a luncheon at the Hotel Mcalpin here during the winter meeting of the Association’s executive committee.
