Forty Jewish families of Astoria, Long Island, who are members of the Astoria Center of Israel have subscribed to a fund of $10,000 in addition to the regular budget of the Center. This was done in appreciation of the completion of Rabbi Joshua L. Goldberg’s fifth year of service at the Astoria Center of Israel and will enable the Rabbi to carry out his plan of activities presented by him to the Board of Trustees for 1930-31.
