Atlanta Jewish Community Council Condemns Lynching of Four Negroes in Georgia

The committee on community relations of the Atlanta Jewish Community Council has adopted a resolution condemning the lynching of four Negroes in Walton County, Georgia, it was announced today. The resolution declared:

"Concerned with the good name and welfare of the State of Georgia, and desiring to join the voices of decency, the Committee on Community Relations of the Atlanta Jewish Community Council places itself on record as decrying and condemning the recent unprovoked attack upon the lives of four Negro citizens of Walton County, Georgia.

"We commend the efforts of our State and Federal officials in taking prompt action to apprehend those guilty. We urge that they continue their efforts until the guilty are brought to justice.

"We believe the time has come for all good citizens of Georgia to recognize that any violation of the sacredness of human life by mob action is a real threat and danger to the rights and privileges of every citizen."
