Eight members of the American Nazi Party, who were arrested Monday during a scuffle in front of Convention Hall, were given 90-day suspended jail terms yesterday on condition they leave Atlantic City. They did so under police escort.

The defendants arrived in Magistrate F. F. Perone’s court, dressed in storm trooper uniforms and wearing red swastika armbands. Each pleaded guilty to charges of participating in a disturbing assembly and of molesting and interfering with passersby.

They had staged their demonstration near the hall where the Democratic National Convention is in session. Police testified that the Nazis had carried signs reading “LBJ Traitor” and “Johnson White Traitor.”
