An attempt on the life of the Inspector-General of the Palestine police force was thwarted today with the discovery of a large bomb near his home, it was revealed by police headquarters here. The bomb was dismantled and the authorities are seeking the persons who planted it.
At the same time the police announced that a bomb which exploded this morning in a garage of a senior British police officer here killed a servant. The officer was not in the garage when the blast occurred.
