Because they attended an Orthodox Jewish wedding, two Jewish workers of the village Perespe, White Russia, Zaitchik and Sadovsky, were expelled from the Communist party.
The accusation brought against them was that by attending the ceremony, they encouraged religious superstition and listened without protest to the singing of the traditional Hebrew songs, which are “contra-revolutionary.”
