The Jewish Telegraphic Agency was informed today that President Truman has not yet received any reply from Prime Minister Attlee to his letter requesting the admission to Palestine of 100,000 displaced Jews. The Prime Minister’s answer will be published after it reaches the President, Charles Ross, White House press secretary announced. (In London it was reported today that Attlee had replied to the Truman letter on Sept. 19.)
