The Australian Minister for Trade and Customs has ordered all customs collectors in this country to examine and detain literature imported from abroad which may be classified as seditious.

The order was issued following representations from the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, which pointed out that increasing numbers of anti-Semitic and Fascist publications have been imported into Australia in recent weeks.

The E.C.A.J. reported that one firm in Sydney–“Tidal Publications”–has arranged to sell these anti-Semitic publications openly. Most of the current crop of anti-Jewish papers comes from England.
