The Austrian Social Ministry is preparing another series of amendments to the Austria Nazi Victims Law which will raise the level of payments to various categories of victims, it was reported here today.
The amendments which will be the 15th change in the basic law, will raise the minimum monthly payments to victims and survivors from lightly less than $30 a month to a minimum of $40. Victims who are in special need will receive an additional minimum of $17 a month. The amendment will also provided $21 a month to needy widows and orphans.
