Several thousand former Austrian citizens now living in Israel will benefit from an agreement on the payment of pensions signed here today by representatives of the Austrian and Israel Governments.
The arrangement, in the form of an agreement that the social security program of each country shall assume certain obligations in behalf of the nationals of the other state, provides for transfer payments between the signatories. Among the rights which beneficiaries will be guaranteed are old age pensions, maternity benefits and accident insurance.
