An additional number of prominent Jewish Communist leaders, including editors and organization executives, have left the Vienna Jewish Community in the wake of the anti-Jewish campaign in Eastern Europe, it was reported today, Statistics available here place the number of Jews who left the community between July and December of last year at 58, while an additional 30 are reported to have disaffiliated since January.
It has also been reported that a number of minor leaders among Jewish Communists have deserted their jobs and apartments in the Soviet zone and moved to Western Vienna or the Western zones of Austria rather than give up their ties with the Jewish Community.
