The Executive Committee of the Austrian League of Nations Society today addressed an urgent request to the British League Society to launch a campaign aimed to arouse the conscience of the world and of the League of Nations on behalf of the German Jews.
The committee, meeting under the chairmanship of Ambassador Pumba, also asked the British society to demand that no German refugees be expelled but rather be afforded opportunities for employment, and to influence Britain to permit a larger number of Jews to enter Palestine without capital. “The British nation will thus earn the thanks of the civilized world,” the resolution concluded.
