The Austrian League for Human Rights announced that choral societies re-established following a decision of the constitutional court have included a ban against Jews in their statutes. These societies include the Innsbrucker Liedertafel, Deutscher Maenner Gesangverein, and Die Wolkenstreiner.

It was reported that the Interior Minister had ordered the societies to submit new statutes omitting the ban. If his measures prove unsuccessful, the report said, the Interior Minister will see to it that the societies are disbanded.
