The Socialist publication “Arbeiterzeitung” today explains the action of the Socialist Party in introducing a measure in the first session of the new Parliament urging the government to press the Allied Council to accept Nazi amnesty laws.
The publication points out that three amnesty measures were passed by the old Parliament last July and then vetoed by the Allies. The Socialist motion to reopen the question was made to issure “social peace” in Austria and to uphold the “reputation” of Parliament, the “Arbeiterzeitung” said.
