American students who wish to enrol in Austrian universities must register by September 1 instead of October 20, according to word received here by the United States Lines. Approximately 700 American students, many of them of Jewish extraction, are affected by this change in the regulations, according to the student service department maintained by the line.
The bureau will receive applications here for forwarding to America, it was announced, and the Hamburg office of the line will attempt to obtain consideration for applications late because of the change in the registration date.
