Magyar Convention, Deviating from Anti-Semitism, Closed (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
A conference of orthodox rabbis was thrown into panic when in the midst of the deliberations a rain of stones descended in the hall where the session took place.
The attack was made by the Awakening Magyars who bombarded the meeting room in the synagogue, smashing the windows and injuring many of those present. Seventy rabbis were participating in the conference. The police were called out and not until a guard was placed around the synagogue late in the evening was order restored.
