B. Alquit, well-known Yiddish poet, died here today, aged 66. Born in Chelm, Poland, as Eliezer Bloom, he came to this country in 1914 and started publishing poetry and literary essays under the pen name of B. Alquit in 1920, appearing in Die Zukunft, Freie Arbeiter Shtimme and other leading Yiddish periodicals. For a number of years he was on the editorial staff of the Jewish Morning Journal.
