Dr. Bernard Kahn, European director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, left here today on his return to Berlin.
When interviewed by the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Dr. Kahn stated that after a visit to the Jewish colonies in Palestine he felt highly satisfied. The achievements in Palestine far exceed his expectations and justify the pride of every Jew. He found in the country enthusiasm, ideaism and energy, he stated. The consolidation of the work on a more stable economic basis, which will lead to self-support and pave the way for more rapid progress must be left to the future. This consolidation work will have to be accomplished by the incoming Jewish Agency, which will prepare Palestine for a much larger immigration, he stated.
