Bad flying weather–a low ceiling and poor visibility–yesterday hampered the search for the missing Israeli Mosquito cargo plane which is believed to have made a forced landing last Thursday near an Eskimo village some 125 miles north-west of the Goose Bay, Labrador, Airport.
Although planes were aloft five hours, because of poor visibility, they were unable to establish contact with the Eskimo village or to sight the grounded plane, with weather forecasts promising clearer weather for today, rescue officials are hopeful of scouring the area from the sky and also of landing a search party at the village by helicopter. Meanwhile, the air and sea search continues throughout the area.
