The importance of disseminating knowledge of modern Hebrew British Jews was emphasized here today by British Empire Chief Rabbi Dr. Israel Brodie, speaking at ceremonies marking the ineuguration of a Chair in Modern Hebrew at Jews’ College, named in honor of Rev. J.K. Goldbloom, veteran British Zionist leaders.
The Proposal to name the chair for Rev. Goldbloom was made by the education committee of the Zionist Federation of Britain, which as contributing to the maintenance of the chair. Dr. J. Epstein, principal of Jews’ College, paid tribute to Rev. Goldbloom for his work in behalf of the movement to revive modern Hebrew in Britain.
