The 20th anniversary of the liquidation of the Jewish ghettoes in the Baltic states was commemorated here last night by the Association of Baltic Jews.
The gathering, which was held in conjunction with the British Section of the World Jewish Congress, opened with a recital of Leivick’s poem, “The Yellow Badge,” by Judy Minton, a leading actress and singer. Among those addressing the meeting were Rabbi Solomon Goldmann, Bernard Gills, recorder of Bradford, and J.I. Linton, consultant to the World Jewish Congress.
