An additional floor with 80 beds was dedicated at the Hadassah-Hebrew University hospital in Ein Karem with the aid of a $125, 000 gift from the Hoffberger family of Baltimore.
Present at the dedication ceremony were members of the Hoffberger family and a delegation of Hadassah leaders from Baltimore. The additional 80 beds will bring the hospital’s capacity to 620 beds, it was stressed today by Dr. Kalman J. Mann, director general of the Hadassah Medical Organization. The opening of the new floor, he said, will also enable expansion of clinical service, development of surgery service, and teaching research in psychiatry.
