Announcement was made here that the campaign to raise $50,000 as an emergency fund to take care of existing current obligations and to keep the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association Building open for another full year was successful.

The amount sought was over-subscribed slightly, it was said.

Heading the list of contributors was Aaron Straus, who pledged $10,000. Louis and Jacob Blaustein subscribed $5,000 jointly, while Jacob Epstein, A. Ray Katz and Sidney Lansburgh gave the same amount together. Mr. Lansburgh was chairman of a special committee which volunteered to solicit funds.
