The Bank of Israel and the Association of Banks have introduced measures to minimize the difficulties caused by the seven-day strike which has shut down all branches of Israel Discount Bank. Meanwhile, the bank’s management, in an advertisement today, appealed to the 4,000 striking employes to return to work and settle their differences through negotiations since the only victim of the walkout is the public. Officials said temporary alternative means are being worked out with other banks.
