Barry Krugel and five other members of the Jewish Defense League have filed a $6.5 million false arrest and battery suit against the City of Los Angeles. The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, charges that police officers, in violation of Krugel’s civil rights, invaded JDL headquarters August 7, 1973, illegally arresting him and wrongfully confiscating 10 of his rifles. The suit further charged that Irving Rubin, Mort Zusserman, Earl Krugel, Phil Goodman and Greg Frug were wrongfully arrested and assaulted by the police outside JDL’s 5887 W. Pico Blvd. headquarters on September 7, 1973.
