The Bavarian legislature has postponed a scheduled debate on the situation of the inmates of the Foehrenwald Camp, near here, the last camp for Jewish DP’s in Germany.

The postponement, pending further study has been welcomed in the Jewish community here which was alarmed over the fact that the fate of the Jewish DP’s had become a political issue in Bavaria. Their apprehension was aroused when Dr. Theodor Oberlaender, Bavarian Secretary of State for Refugees, who is a former high-ranking Nazi and an S.S. officer, announced that he intended to crack down on the DP’s and “create order” in the camp.
