A special juridical body has been organized by the Government in order to review the Beilis case which was decided in 1912. Mendel Beilis, who is now in the United States, had been tried on a charge of ritual murder, his case attracting world-wide attention. The government has ordered the review at the request of M. Sarudny, one of Beilis’ lawyers, who asserts that he has uncovered new evidence which will completely exonerate Beilis.
