Belarussian Jews demanded that criminal charges be pressed against a local Cossack organization. Representatives of major Jewish organizations in the former Soviet republic said they would ask prosecutors to investigate the incitement of ethnic hatred against Jews, which they said took place at an Oct. 25 meeting of the All-Belarussian Union of Cossacks in Minsk.
