Queen Fabiola of Belgium has agreed to lend her name to a Belgian Hostel that will be erected on the campus of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem by the Association of Belgian Friends of the Hebrew University.
The hostel, to be called “Collegium Belgium Fabiolanum,” will contain meeting halls for conventions, lectures and exhibitions, a library and accommodations for foreign visitors, with priority extended to Belgian scientists and artists. Among the financial supporters of the project is Mrs. D.M. Van Buuren, widow of Prof. Van Buuren, who was one of the founders and a deputy chairman of the Belgian Friends of the Hebrew University.
