Belgium Eases Up on Reich Refugees

For years Jewish Daily Bulletin readers have turned to us for various types of information.

Orders not to molest Jewish refugees here awaiting permits to emigrate overseas were issued to the police by higher authorities, it became known yesterday.

The orders are the outgrowth of representations made by a Jewish delegation to official circles after the arrest last week of over a hundred persons found without proper identification evidence. The last of those held following police raids in the Jewish quarters were set free yesterday.

When the father and the seven brothers of Simhah ha-Kohen were killed by the Crusaders at Worms, ha-Kohen pretended willingness to accept baptism, secreted a knife on his person and stabbed a nephew of the bishop before being killed.
