A. Rosin, prominent Jewish sociologist and editor of the Yiddish Cyclopedia who was best known by his pen-name “Ben Adir”, died here yesterday at the age of 66. He had been ill for several months. One of the leaders of the Jewish territorialist movement, he arrived in the United States shortly after the fall of France where he had resided since the Nazis came to power in Germany. He was born in Russia and lived there until the Communist Revolution, taking an active part in Jewish literary and social life in the Ukraine before and after the fall of the Czar. He was especially interested in Jewish emigration problems.
