Premier David Ben Gurion has urged the Ministerial and Jewish Agency committees working together on the problem of a legal status for the Agency in Israel to complete the work within two weeks because of the urgency of the matter. The two committees will meet within a few days to begin drafting a law providing for such status.
The Ministerial committee is composed of the Premier; Dov Joseph, Minister of Trade and Industry; Golda Myerson, Labor Minister; and Moshe Shapira, Minister of Interior and Minister for Religious Affairs. The Agency group consists of Zalman Shazar, Eliahu Dobkin, Itzhak Raphael and Dr. Emanuel Neumann.
