Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion has requested experts to study the possibility of enlarging Israel’s cultivable area by drying out shallow seabeds. This was disclosed here today following the Premier’s return from a visit to The Netherlands where he was described as “deeply impressed” by that country’s fight against the Zuider Zee and the reclamation of tens of thousands of acres of dried out sea areas.
