Former Premier David Ben Gurion, in an article in the Histadrut newspaper Davar, today wrote that he knew of no single Jewish leader in the western countries who left his home and property to take up permanent settlement in Israel.
The article was a continuation of the statement of his position, made in a letter to the recent plenary session of the Zionist Actions Committee, that Zionism requires that Zionists settle in Israel. His original letter touched off a storm of debate, which still continues here.
