Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion today conferred with Dr. Nahum Goldmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, and expressed his satisfaction with Dr. Goldmaniss decision to settle in Israel. The Prime Minister displayed interest in the progress of the house which Dr. Goldmann is now building as his residence in Israel.
The Prime Minister also met earlier with Dr. Pinhas Rosen, Minister of Justice and leader of the Progressive Party which was merged with the General Zionist Party into the newly formed Liberal Party. The talk with Dr. Rosen was centered on Israeli problems, on the question of the Jewish nation at large and on Israel’s development.
Mr. Ben-Gurion’s talks with Dr. Goldmann and Dr. Rosen were held in a conciliatory–spirit aimed at easing the tension created over the attacks made recently by the Prime Minister against Dr. Goldmann and the Zionist movement.
