Israel’s Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion will visit the State Department on Thursday afternoon where he will hold informal talks first with Secretary of State Christian Herter and later with Under Secretary Douglas Dillon, the State Department announced today. Mr. Dillon handles economic affairs.
In making this announcement. State Department spokesman Francis Tully emphasized that the Israel Prime Minister is coming to Washington in an “unofficial capacity” and that his visit to the State Department would be “unofficial and informal” No’agenda has been prepared by the State Department for the “informal talks” which will be held, Mr. Tully said.
