Benjamin Netanyahu called on the Israeli government to overthrow the regime of Yasser Arafat. In a speech Sunday at Yeshiva University’s Chanukah dinner, the former Israeli prime minister said Israel should give the Palestinian leader no more than several hours to “crush” terror groups before launching its own attack that would destroy the Palestinian Authority. Echoing President Bush’s ultimatum to the Taliban, Netanyahu said Israel should tell Arafat: “Surrender terrorism or surrender power” — and if he doesn’t do it,”out he goes, just like that.”
