Bernard Baron, former Jewish immigrant boy in the United States, and now leading tobacco manufacturer and philanthropist in England, has distributed up to the present an amount of over £1,250,000 ($6,250,000) for charitable purposes.
“If I live for the next two or three years I will do more than this,” Mr. Baron stated at a luncheon he addressed at Brighton inaugurating a drive for local hospitals.
