Roumanian Jews expressed their appreciation for the work carried on by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, on the occasion of Dr. Bernard Kahn’s visits to Jassy and Czernowitz.
The European director of the Joint Distribution Committee was welcomed at the stations by representative Jewish groups and was feted at banquets where the Committee’s work in saying thousands of Jewish families in Roumania from dire poverty was praised.
