Chaim Nahum Bialik, the Hebrew poet, and his wife were the guests of honor at a party given by the “Tarbuth” on the occasion of their departure for Palestine where Bialik intends to establish a center for Hebrew book publishing.
The party was attended by many prominent scholars, artists and poets, among whom were Dr. S. Bernfeld, the venerable Jewish scholar, Dr. Schemarja Levine, Ab. Golaberg, Jacob Fishmann and Z. Schnerer, the Hebrew poet. Dr. Levine was the toastmaster and a very impressive address was delivered by Dr. Bernfeld.
Bialik in his closing speech paid a tribute to Dr. Weizmann and asked that the party send greetings to “the heavily burdened Weizmann the man of action.”
