Chaim Nachman Bialik, famous Hebrew poet, left the Franziscus Clinic following an operation for the removal of gall stones, performed on him by Professor Casper, on July 18.
Having the appearance of a man well on the road to recovery, Mr. Bialik told the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, upon leaving the hospital, that it is possible that he may proceed to Zurich to attend the opening session of the conference of the Jewish Agency on August 11, where he is scheduled to be a speaker. From Berlin, Mr. Bialik will proceed to a resort, probably Marienbad, to rest.
Professor Casper, the surgeon, expressed satisfaction with his patient’s state of health, adding that the poet’s vitality and strong constitution greatly aided his recovery following a complicated operation.
