Bitterly assailing anti – Semitic propagandists and declaring that the “Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion” “are a scandalous libel and a hideous, fraudulent document,” Dr. Harold P. Morgan, president of the Buffalo Bible Institute, warned his listeners that anti-Semitism, like the Ku Klux Klan, has no place in American life.

Dr. Morgan presented the results of a thorough investigation into the causes of anti-Semitism in a stereoptican lecture entitled “In Defense of the Jew,” delivered in the Y. M. C. A. auditorium at Niagara Falls. He explained that “this is not a proselytizing campaign. All I intend to do is to prove that the Jewish people are not what Adolf Hitler says the are.”

Dr. Morgan asserted that anti-Semitism is “running rampant in the British Isles” and vigorously denounced the magazine Defense, an anti-Semitic monthly edited by Gerald B. Winrod. He said that “the Jews are manacled by prejudicial and racial hate and therefore cannot defend themselves.”

He criticized Henry Ford for permitting the “Protocols” to be published in the Dearborn Independent, reprints of which are being circulated widely in all languages. He also advised his audience that dozens of magazines, pamphlets and leaflets containing anti-Semitic propaganda are being distributed throughout the United States and Canada. He declared that “a Gentile is as good as a Jew if he behaves himself.”
