A bill to suspend all quota immigration to this country, except that of immediate relatives, until July 1, 1933, will be proposed in the Senate next month by Senator Reed of Pennsylvania in order to relieve unemployment, according to his announcement today. The bill has the support of William Green, president of the American Federation of Labor, and of Secretary of Labor James J. Davis, who will resign from the Cabinet to become a member of the Senate next week.
