The Bavarian parliament has passed the bill which was introduced some time ago prohibiting the shechita, the Jewish method of slaughtering animals.
The Social-Democrats joined with the reactionaries and the anti-Semites in the vote on this bill, while the Communists voted against it.
The only possibility of preventing this measure from becoming a law is a veto on the part of the Berlin government. The Jews are hoping that such action will be taken by the Central Government when the matter will be brought before it.
