Deputies Daniel Allalouf and Isaac Molho, who were elected in the general elections this month by the Jewish Electoral College in Salonica as Tsaldarist candidates, are to submit to the Chamber a bill to abolish the separate Electoral College for the Jews of Salonica.

They have been assured that the Government will support the bill in accordance with the undertaking given by M. Tsaldaris on several occasions, notably as in his recent electoral address in Salonica, that as soon as he would be in power he would suppress the separate Electoral College.

The separate Jewish Electoral College was established in order to segregate the Jewish voters and prevent them influencing the course of the elections in the whole of the Salonica constituency, which returns twenty Deputies, and frequently decides the fate of the Chamber and the entire Government.
