Two identical bills have been introduced in the New York State Legislature calling for an investigation into racial and religious discrimination in housing in the sate. The legislation is in line with Gov. Averill Harriman’s speech to the Legislature last week asking broader powers in the housing field for the State Commission Against Discrimination.
