Maurice Bisgyer was today appointed by Alfred M. Cohen, president of International Order B’nai B’rith, to succeed the late Dr. I. M. Rubinow as secretary of the order.
Bisgyer, 40 years old and born in Brooklyn, N.Y., has been executive director of the Jewish Community Center of Washington, D.C., for the past 13 years. Previously he had been executive director of the Educational Alliance of Baltimore for four years.
He has also been executive secretary of the Federation of Jewish Agencies of Trenton, N.J., for two years, president of the National Association of Jewish Center Executives and a member of the President’s National Committee on Education.
