Resettlement of displaced persons in the United States and other countries, if their repatriation is not advisable, is urged by the Catholic bishops of the United States in a statement on “Man and the Peace” issued yesterday. The bishops hail President Truman’s announced decision to ask Congress to admit considerable numbers of DP’s to the U.S. They stress that the refugees cannot be kept in camps indefinitely.
