Abdul Hamid, “Black Hitler,” president of the Negro Industrial Clerical Alliance, who has suit-rounded himself with all the trappings of a Fascist leader, has been summoned to appear this morning before Assistant District Attorney Edwin J. Pelley, it was learned yesterday.
Hamid has nothing against the Jews personally—some of his best friends are Jews—but the Jewish business men of Harlem are “unfair to Negroes,” so he forces them to hire Negro workers or threatens them with the familiar “or else….”
It is these activities which have won him a summons to the District Attorney’s office which may end today in curtains for Hamid’s short-lived New York career.
‘MILITANT’ OUTFIT
In an interview yesterday, Hamid described his organization as “militant.” Shopkeepers in the neighborhood testified to the militancy with accounts of threats and picketing by representatives of the Alliance.
